The Royal Rangers program provides leader training to mobilize, inspire, and resource leaders to achieve their greatest success and effectiveness. Royal Rangers training is based on three core values:
- Spiritual Development. All classroom and event-based leadership training will have a spiritual emphasis.
- Ranger Skills Development. Training will focus on the seven methods Royal Rangers use to minister to boys. Ranger skills are a key component of this success.
- Leadership Development. Leadership development will be key as Royal Rangers moves to become a boy led, adult facilitated ministry.
It takes a leader to mentor new leaders. Training will help Royal Rangers strengthen its leadership core.
Church leadership believes that well trained leaders are the key to any ministry's success. Pastors understand that a trained volunteer is much more likely to commit their time and can be counted on to show up every week. For these reason, and others, the Royal Rangers program places a high priority on leader training.

Designed to expose the outpost leadership team to a successful set of practices, methods, strategies, and tools that will enable them to develop into a World Class Outpost. The greatest benefit of this event is achieved when the outpost/church leadership attends and completes this event together as a team.
Ranger Kids Training Conference (NEEC) is an interactive event that gives men and women leaders training in various techniques and methods to effectively teach and mentor boys. Leaders will explore the development and needs of the elementary age group, with Ranger Kids as the main focus. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the needs and characteristics of boys so you can better relate and connect with them.
National Rangers Ministry Camp provides instruction in basic outdoor skills and activities providing leaders with the skills needed to take their Ranger boys on exciting outpost activities outside their normal weekly meeting times. Instruction in effectively implementing the team/patrol method will be offered as a means to facilitate junior leadership development. Also, leaders will be challenged to connect with God and explore spiritual manhood.
The purpose of the National Rangers Ministry Camp is to provide interactive instruction in a wide range of fun and exciting activities that appeal to boys and young men. These will include basic “modern” camping, sports fun, trade skills, arts, and technology. These are activities that men and boys can do together and serve a very important purpose: to facilitate relationship and friendships that provide mentoring opportunities.
Royal Rangers instructors form the critical link between local leaders and the various aspects of the program. Instructors provide valuable training to equip leaders for success in their various areas of responsibility. Currently each district oversees the process of certifying instructors to provide training in their district. The instructor certification process currently consists of two components—the Instructor Certification Seminar (ICS) and the Instructor Trainer Seminar (ITS). Instructors involved in national training events are prepared for their roles through National Academy and Advanced Academy. Contact {staff District Training Coordinator} for more information
