The Potter's Lodge will ONLY accommodate a party of up to 130 people. No party will be accepted larger than 130 people.

Cleaning deposit will be returned at the end of your event, provided all cleaning tasks are performed satisfactorily. Satisfactory cleaning means all garbage has been collected (inside facilities and on the grounds) and placed in the dumpster provided. EVERY room you use has been swept and/or vacuumed. All surfaces (tabletops, range-top and/or counter-tops) have been wiped clean. All bathroom floors have been swept, all toilets/urinals have been flushed, all counters and sinks are wiped clean. We provide all cleaning implements: cleaning products, brooms, dust pans, vacuum cleaner, toilet brushes, trash cans and bags, and hot water. You provide the elbow grease.
*Please note: Before your event will be scheduled you must sign and return our rental agreement. You must also provide a valid Credit Card (CC) number for Security purposes. Your CC will only incur a charge if there is damage to our facility, or other property owned by FRI, during the course of, or as a result of, your rental. Your CC number will not be used for any other purpose, nor will it be retained in our records after completion of your event. In the event that you are going to be charged for any damages we will provide you an opportunity to resolve the issue. If no resolution attempt is made we will charge your CC for the repairs and we will provide you copies of the repair bills.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Should you need to cancel your event, please note that if you cancel within 30 (thirty) days of your event date your deposit will be NOT be refunded. However, we will gladly refund your deposit if you should need to cancel more than 30 (thirty) days prior to your event.

All bathroom floors have been swept and mopped, all toilets/urinals have been flushed, and cleaned if needed, all counters and sinks are wiped clean. We provide all cleaning implements: dish rags, cleaning products, brooms, dust pans, mops, mop buckets, vacuum cleaner, toilet brushes, trash cans and bags, and hot water. You provide the elbow grease. Please remember that when mopping a large area the mop water needs to be changed frequently. Mopping the main room floor requires at least 4 (four) clean buckets of water (with cleaning product) to be done properly. Please do not use industrial, or straight, bleach on the main room floor as it may damage the coating, leaving you responsible for the repair.

Here at Camp Wilderness we strive to maintain a pleasant, positive, godly atmosphere.
As the host of your event we want to make sure that you and all of your guests have a
wonderful time and enjoy our facility. However, it is your responsibility to make sure that
your guests, either invited or attending with an invited guest, are aware of,
and abide by, our policies. Please be sure that you understand and are aware of,
and make sure your guests understand and are aware of, our policies, as well as the
subsequent consequences. Anyone observed breaking any of these policies will
be escorted off of the property, and your event will be canceled immediately,
regardless of the time. Please also be aware that you will not be entitled to a
refund of any portion of your rental fee, and your cleaning deposit will be
forfeited, due to cancellation under these circumstances.
AT NO TIME is there to be any alcohol, or drugs, on our premises. Please do not attempt to attend any event if you are under the influence of these substances, or if they are on your person.
Smoking is only allowed outside, provided you place your cigarette butts in an appropriate receptacle, not on the ground. There is no smoking allowed inside any of our facilities, under any circumstances, including the electronic cigarettes and/or vaping.
For overnight events, co-ed camping/sleeping is NOT allowed.
Fireworks are not allowed to be used on this property without prior permission from the proper authorities.
Firearms are not permitted to be used in any area not designated for that purpose. At NO time are firearms permitted to be used at any event WITHOUT a certified range officer present.
Although we love pets, pets are not allowed on Camp Wilderness property, during any event, without a leash. At NO time is your pet either allowed off of his/her leash, or inside any of the facilities. We will, of course, welcome any service animal with the proper documentation.
All camp fires MUST be in a container AND above ground. If you do not have a suitable container, please ask us for one and we will do our best to provide you with a suitable container for your camp fire.
"Building Today's Boys Into Tomorrow's Men"
In 1988, 85 acres of wilderness, that we know of today as Camp Wilderness, was started to provide a safe and exciting atmosphere for boys. Among the main reason to start a camp of this nature was to teach boys camping skills, moral and spiritual principals, as well as how to become good citizens.
The primary resident and owner of this camp, Florida Rangers, Incorporated, functions as the leader for the Peninsular Florida District Royal Rangers. Some 6000 boys a year come through Camp Wilderness for many activities and outings. Many of the visitors stretch from the Florida-Georgia state line to Key West at the southern tip of Florida. The camp also hosts leadership training for men, not only at a state level, but hosts national camps twice a year with men coming from all across the United States.
Over the years, the Camp's purpose and use has expanded. It is open to the public to host various activities such as family reunions, weddings, staff retreats, camping events, and more.
The camp features many acres of Florida wilderness set along the Peace River and Whidden Creek in southern Polk County. The Potter's Lodge is our main facility, which has modern shower and bathroom amenities, as well as sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, and an industrial kitchen.
Camp wilderness has been home to many events with more than 2000 in attendance.
