Ranger Kids Jamboree
**Online registration extended until June 1st!**
Online registration cutoff: June 1st
I get asked a lot of questions about Jamboree, and I usually respond with this answer: its got to be the most exciting event a Ranger Kid could attend. If you haven't attended a Jamboree, you and your boys are missing one of life's great experiences.Junior Missions Camp
Junior Missions Camp (JMC) prepares the boys for home and world missions construction projects. Boys must have attended an Advanced JTC and have completed the ninth grade. Classes range from building walls to witnessing. Witnessing skills are taught and put to use in a visit to a local community or another ministry opportunity. Boys are taught fundamental construction skills to enable them to attend a missions trip.
Requirements: Must have completed the ninth grade and have completed JTC and AJTC. Trainee must have parents,sr. commander and pastor signatures to attend.
Note: This is a very physical camp, loading and unloading a semi trailer, lifting boxes. Offsite activities will take place at this camp. Instruction will take place at Camp Wilderness and offsite trips will go to plant city to participate in several outreach opportunities including delivering food to shut ins (with adult supervision) and participating in "back pack bash" (passing out back packs with school supplies).

SMC 2013 - Be There!
Summer Merit Camp is a “summer camp where boys happen to earn merits.” That’s our motto, and I think we stay true to that meaning.
If history is any indication of the future, SMC 2013 will be better than SMCs 2011 and 2012!
There are a few slots left, and the camp is open to the entire district. For those who went to Pow Wow, that means every boy you saw at Pow Wow (except Ranger Kids) are eligible to attend this camp. The last two camps have filled up and we’ve been over capacity so make sure you register NOW.
So, if your son or Rangers are interested in attending, complete the appropriate registration form attached and get it mailed pronto!
At SMC, not only do we jump out of trees, swing off of rope swings and go on canoe trips, but this year we’ll be going to Bartow for some swimming therapy (that means a lot of splashing), and we’re also assembling the largest slip-n-slide EVER at the Ranger Property. It’ll be the a ride the boys won’t soon forget!
Oh yeah…they’ll be earning 6 merits too in a “no pencil” zone. We don’t use pencils at SMC…that’s too much like school. Instead all the merits are taught interactively.

SMC 2011:Recap
The planning for SMC 2011 started in late 2010 by defining a visionfor the camp, identifying the ideal staff qualifications, creating an organization chart, and putting a promotional campaign together. Thus, we set the ground work in place…..the staging ground for God to work with.
